Bangalore-based software engineers of LogicaCMG will manage and support information applications for European airline Britannia Airways.
British IT services firm Logica has decided to cut about 1,300 jobs, including nearly 500 in the UK, and move many of them to India, the Philippines and Morocco.Logica-- an IT and consultancy firm -- already has a significant presence in India and has an overall staff strength of 39,000.
IT services company LogicaCMG will recruit over 1,000 workers in India in 2005 to support its growth plans for its offshore and South Asia operations.
The Sensex ended up 380 points at 27,888 and the Nifty advanced 111 points to end five points shy of 8,400.
