Rashtra Janata Dal chief Lalu Prasad on Monday said the National Democratic Alliance led by Bharatiya Janata Party would soon disintegrate as there is discontent among its allies with the saffron party indicating that it may project Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi as the prime ministerial candidate.
'The clearest interpretation of the November 8 mandate is that the backwards, Dalits and minorities, and a huge proportion of women cutting across caste and class, displayed massive consolidation to the extent that despite chipping of votes by the Left Front, by the Third Front and by the BSP, Mahagathbandhan candidates won, and in many cases by huge margins,' says Mohammad Sajjad.
Mukul was Lalu's private secretary during the latter's tenure as chief minister between 1990 and 1996 and went missing soon after the fodder scam was unearthed.
Railway Minister Lalu Prasad has sought his passport back from the CBI court of Ranchi in view of his proposed official tour to Singapore and Malaysia on May 12. Lalu had submitted his passport on the court's directive in connection with RC 38, a in the multi-crore fodder scam. He is scheduled to visit Singapore on May 12 and Malaysia on May 15.
It was not immediately known what transpired at the meeting which came days after a special Central Bureau of Investigation court framed charges against him.
The Bharatiya Janata Party on Wednesday hit back at Rashtriya Janata Dal supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav for calling Prime Minister Narendra Modi a non-resident Indian, saying there is no need to take any advice from a person who is outside jail at the moment and challenging his conviction.

Asked about Maharashtra Navnirman Sena chief Raj Thackeray's threat in his May 3 speech at Shivaji Park that he would not allow Lalu's Chhat Puja, Deshmukh said: "I will be there. It will be seen who has more strength."
