The Jammu and Kashmir police on Monday said they have arrested five 'hybrid' terrorists of the proscribed Lashkar-e-Tayiba outfit, three of whom were allegedly involved in the killing of a sarpanch in Baramulla district last month.
The police on Thursday evening thwarted a deadly car bomb attack on the busy Jammu Srinagar national highway by-pass near Chanpora in capital city.
'The ICMR and Biological E Limited, Hyderabad, have developed highly purified antisera (raised in animals) for prophylaxis and treatment of COVID-19,' the apex health research body said on Thursday. The 'antisera' is yet to undergo human clinical trials to establish its safety and efficacy and Drugs Controller General of India would be approached soon in this regard, Dr Samiran Panda, the head of epidemiology and communicable diseases at the ICMR said.
Two policemen were injured in two separate instances of grenade explosions in Srinagar on Wednesday. According to the police, unidentified militants tossed a grenade at the vehicle of a police official at Chanpora, and two policemen were injured in the blast.Militants also hurled a grenade at the police station in posh Rajbagh locality in the state capital.
