Diversification and asset allocation can reduce uncertainty
India's mutual funds are seeing a surge in stock investments from the hinterland as growing ranks of provincial retail investors help drive a two-year long rally.
Investment experts said the key to generating superior returns was "asset allocation" and taking money out of the table from themes that have performed well and into themes that are available at a discount.
MFs have garnered record assets in the past one year, led by increased investor participation through SIPs and robust returns in mid-cap schemes.
