Former captain Younis Khan was again ignored by Pakistani selectors but fast bowler Shoaib Akhtar was recalled to the 16-man squad for next month's one day series against England.
Former Pakistan fast bowler Shoaib Akhtar feels that Salman Butt, Mohammad Asif and Mohammed Aamir were given harsh punishments in the spot-fixing scandal.
The PML-N, however, rejected the demand and claimed that it was winning Thursday's elections.
China Thursday offered to play a 'constructive role' to ease tension between Pakistan and Iran following their missile strikes against each other over the last two days and asked the two countries to 'exercise restraint and calmness and avoid escalation'.
Pakistan's former fast bowler, Shoaib Akhtar has cautioned against inviting any foreign teams to Pakistan in the prevailing security situation in the country. Speaking two days after the terrorist attack on the police training centre in Quetta in which 62 police cadets and two armymen were killed and around 170 injured, Akhtar said that the security situation in the country was not good. "Until there is a complete normalcy as far as security situation is concerned we shouldn't take the risk of inviting any foreign team to Pakistan," he said on Geo News channel.
