No new deaths or injuries reported on Thursday, a fog and drizzle brought some cheer to those fighting the wildfires raging across southern California for more than a week. The fires have claimed at least 20 lives and left thousands homeless.

Several fires, small and large, continue to destroy forests and property. A few towns are totally gutted, while residents of some others cannot return until the last spark has been doused.

The fires have spread across more than 728,000 acres and affecting over 50,000 people. It has become one of the worst disasters ever to strike California.
