Five years on, where Iraq stands
 |
An action that started off with public support eventually fizzled out and turned into a albatross around President Bush's neck. No matter how much his popularity ratings may have dipped, he surely has no doubts about having waged the unpopular war in Iraq. "The successes we are seeing in Iraq are undeniable, yet some in Washington still call for retreat," he says. US forces, during the five year period, suffered 4,000 casualties -- mostly after the fall of Saddam. What beholds Iraq in the future? Maybe hope, maybe a wink!
