Commemorative Stamp honouring Sam Manekshaw released on Vijay Diwas

President Pratibha Patil released a Special Commemorative Stamp in honour of Late Field Marshal Sam Bahadur Manekshaw at the Rashtrapati Bhavan [Images] on Tuesday.
The stamp was released on the occasion of Vijay Diwas, to mark the 37th anniversary of India's military victory over Pakistan in the Bangladesh liberation war.
Manekshaw crafted India's greatest military victory in the 1971 India-Pakistan war that created just not history, but also a new nation
The President also saw glimpses of the illustrious career of the Late General at a photo exhibition held at the Rashtrapati Bhavan.
