Of Maitree Express' pantry & Customs officials

April 17, 2008
They took great care of each passenger, were always on their toes to see to it that the ketchup served was of the best quality or that the sandwiches were not served cold.

Wish Maitree Express pantry supervisors had taught the Indian Customs some manners. Maitree means friendship in Bengali and this special train is being advertised as an emblem of camaraderie.

But Indian Customs officials probably never bothered to understand this. Else, why were they being overtly unfriendly to the Bangladeshis traveling on this train?
