The proprietor of Sharif Caterers wore a sad look all through his rounds of travel in the Kolkata-bound Maitree Express on Wednesday.
Reason, he could not cross over to the Indian part. His duty ends at the Bangladeshi border of Darshana and his Indian counterpart takes charge of the Maitree Express pantry from the Indian border of Gede.
Fried chicken, boiled eggs and pran juice, a popular drink in Bangladesh, which were being served at Bangladesh soon make way for chicken and bread pakora as the train rolled into Gede. Though the menus differ, one thing runs common -- the sincerity of the pantry supervisors.
