Junk medicines, Swami Ramdev tells Toronto

October 16, 2007
Ramdev was critical of pharmaceutical companies that are interested in selling their drugs: "You can be cured of blood pressure, diabetes, cholesterol through pranayam, breathing exercises."

The morning session commenced with the lighting of the traditional diya by Ontario Minister for Small Business Harinder Takhar and Grand Chief of Nishnawbe Aski Nation.

"There's life as long as you can breathe. One can be fat or thin, tall or short, black, brown, or white, all of us have the same anatomy, same organs. Our body is healthy as long as our breath is healthy, and we require healthy breath for our good health, for our body to be disease-free. If we stop breathing, you know what happens? That means God, who has created of all us, is telling you your time is up," Swami Ramdev went on to explain with a great sense of humour.
