Message: India should never, for what ever reason, give in the hijackers demands. It will send wrong signals to the militants and will encourage them to do this kind of actions in future.

Name: Malvinder Singh
Email: Malvinder_Singh@india.com
Message: Hi, Why can't the NSG commandos storm the plane. What deals are being worked out with the Taleban or Pakistan ? The hijackers have to be just as tired after five days. Good morning America, we are dealing with terrorism here or do we prefer to sleep when 'American Interests' are not involved. My best wishes for all the hostages and their families. Regards Malvinder

Message: Never ever give in to the demands of the hijacker, it not only set bad precedence but also let down the moral of the Forces who are fighting a tough battle in Kashmir. Don't the security forces have any relative, aren't they sons of some mother, Or have they done more sins than others to sacrifies their life in Kashmir. National interest are not the prerogatives of security forces Every Indian should take the responsibility. thanks Srikant

Message: traditionally and culturally we have had a history of pardon and mercy. One prisoner for the life of 150 plus is a very reasonable compromise. It is time for the PMO to stop being heroic and yield to the request. If any action was to be taken the flight should not have left the Indian soil. Now that they are out there it is only humane to put the well being of the 150 at top priority. Could they not have released the prisoner if one of the big politicians were on the flight. How different is a common man's life from that of those knadi clad cheats? Yet another fault is holding information from the public at this time of need. Diplomacy and bureaucracy are two terms Indian politicians/rulers can/have never mastered. It is time to beg for the lives of these 150 poeple and stop thinking big.

Message: The hijack episode is very serious and media may be playing it's part in passing the information to the public. The sufferings of the hostages are beyond imagination as only they know about it. I have been reading most of the articles on the Internet and I wish if someone could answer my following question: Most of the Recognized terrorist groups say that they don't have a hand in this hijack episode ... well my question is how come such groups are termed as Recognized ... are they running some business or what ... what does this recogzition mean ... Are Govenment Agencies registering such groups as people register their copanies / business ... These fellows ( excuse me! ) shold be once and for all eleminated from society whether they belong to country A or terrorist group X. I am unable to digest this concept of " Recognized Terrorist Activist Group "... such organisations should be abolished.

Message: Under no circumstance should govt. ever succumb to the demands of the hijackers especially releasing some more militants. This would only increase such mishaps as hijacking and holding hostages for ransom. Ofcourse the lives of 150 people is important but it should be saved by other means such as may be hallucinating the hijackers with adulterated food or spraying some gas inside the plane!

Message: These old aged politicians and incapable to lead the nation. This is a fact that in old age body and MIND slow down. India should have yound and dynamic leader who can react quickly and strongly. Till now, Crisis Management Group has created more crisis(from not stoping plan in Amritsar to not starting Camando op. yet) I don't understand what is left for negotiation? India is not going to meet hijecker's demand, So for what they are waiting for? Only option, that is first and last is not exercised - is Camando Operation.

Message: I love the fellow human benings got struck in the flight, but releasing a terrorist for this reason will be a precedence for other criminal activities like this. We have to negotiate with the hijackers to release the hostages. I pray to the almighty for the hostages. In futuere if we catch any terrorists we have to gun down there itself. Who ever it is, we need a stuborn rule for the terrorists like this. In India we are having many religions each and every religion follows it own rules, but no body follow the rule of India, here onwards every Indian should be treated same as other, relegion should come under the country and not vice versa. Message: 1. Govt. should not give in to the demands , as this kill the morale of the people and forces, also it will set a wrong precedence. 2. All political parties should have a united and uniform stand to deal with this situation firmly and no political party should take this as an opportunity to throw mud at others, irrespective of what ever is the outcome. 3.We can infect the prisoners with deadly Virus, so that they will surely die within 1 month of release, with this scheme in mind we should discuss about release of passangers. 4.Perhaps the pasangers may be ready to sacrifice their lives for our great nation. 5.For the future Indian government should take a lesson and kill terrorists with in five days of their capture, depicting it as killing in shoot out, such incidents are very common for even small time thieves in India then why not for terrorists? 6.Why Indian govt. takes national pride in keeping international terrorists and smugglers in prison. When commomn man does not get food twice a day and is deprived of a shelter, these terrorists and smugglers are enjoying good food and living conditions in jail. Take example of Charles Shobhraj, why India is spending lot of money for keeping him in jail, rather than deporting him to the place where he can prosecuted and hanged to death. When Indian govt. will become a firm and strong power? and learn from mistakes. Its time to change. If I would have been the passanger on Flight 814 perhaps , I would have happily embraced death and told the govt. not to give in. We should be able to do that much sacrifice for our country, am sure all the captives are trying to say the same thing. Jai Hind,Jai Bharat. 7.Please feel free to post this message anywhere you want. Thanks for the opportunity to vent my feelings.

Message: The behavior of 'relatives of hostages' is very much natural. We, Indians, don't have manners when it comes to social, public life. We use platform as toilets; we cross the road wherever we want to, we don't care for the society and we don't care for others. So, it is very much natural to the 'relative to the hostage' to storm into a news conference of a Minister and doing some stunts infront of PM house. What should the relatives of Victim of Kargil should do now? The hundreds of widows, hundreds of father less children, hundreds of mothers who lost their only sons in the kargil. Do they have to demonstrate 'dharna' against Indian govt. operations in Kargil. If the govt. give-in to the demands of hijackers then, it means WE MAKING JOKE OUT OF THE SACRIFICES MADE BY THOSE IN THE KARGIL. Of cource it hurts when loved-ones are in danger but that doesn't mean that one can behave indecently; that too infront of International Media and that too when the pride of our mother-land is involved. It showed the world that we are one billion of selfish idiots here. IF ONE DONT CARE ABOUT THE MOTHERLAND, IT WON'T CARE ABOUT YOU TOO.

Message: Govt of India has very less chances right now as the plane is neither in their space nor in their land. The best thing is to see how the poor pasangers on board are safely rescued. If there is a commodo action it is sure there will be loss of life which no one wants. The best thing is to free the militants which are in India jails and India should not pay any money to the hijackers. It has been seen in Kashmir in last 10 years that the militants which were freed because of one reason or another,it was very easy for India to catch those militants again.Waiting and wasting time may take a bad turn and innocent lives may be lost.

If by any chance the hijackers are caught , there shouldnt be any trials held on them but just shoot them at site. I understand the condition of all the relatives and I just pray that all ends well and that India deosnt have to bow in front of any millitants or surrender in front of the bastards. my good wishes are always with India . regards from all the way from Canada Sunil and Pallavi

Important thing is to get innocent victims free. Once they are safe then a detail investigation should be done and proof of PAkistan's involvement should be brought to light. Accusation with no proof and whild people are still inside the plane is a stupid thing to do which will result in nothing.

We should say that the demands are under consideration. Let the International community force Talibans to take a stand for storming the plane. The terrorist will give up some time or other. Take the relatives of the passengers into confidence. If our worst fears come true -they touch the passenger/passengers. JUST KILL ALL THE TERRORISTS IN THE INDIAN JAIL. KILL ANYONE WHO MAY BE SUSPECTED OF HELPING THE TERRORISTS and FINISH THIS KASHMIR PROBLEM ONCE FOR ALL

Message: Yes, The goverment must right now release Maulana Masood. The goverment should not put the life of 160 people at risk. This is not the time to talk about this. It's time to take the action. After getting the passengers, the goverment should first arrest or kill those hijakers and the terrorists involved in this cowardly act. It's high time India has some policy on these kind of crisis management. Every Pilot and crew members should be trained to keep the flight inside the Indian soil and should be given gun training and fighting skills. And our Commandos should act faster rather than expecting the higher authorities to give them permission to act. Some law has to be enacted to do their job properly.

We MUST teach them that we mean business and will finish militancy. the people on board this aircraft could as well have died in a militant bomb blast in delhi. I would take this stand even if my own relatives or myself was on this plane. You cannot get anything worthwhile by sacrificing your pricipals. And if we are to release these militants, then why catch them in the first place. Hand over the country to them. And go jump in the sea.

One more observation:Mr.V.P.Singh,our ex-PM has no right to make stupid statements regarding the current hijacking.Wish there was some law by which he could be punished for having set a precedent in the Rubaya Sayeed case a few years back!

Message: The Indian govt. should not release the terrorists or else this will become a habit for the hijackers in future. We understand from the reports this is not the first time they are doing this, so we should not bow to their demands. The hijackers should understand the plight of a human being inside an aircraft in the sitting position for a long time. They should release the children and women at any cost. It is so inhuman to keep the women and children as their captives. One of the hijackers has a sister, a family. Did the pakistan authorities arrest his sister? They arrested only male members of their family. So we can request the hijackers to release the children and women first. If they release all the passengers and may be we can forgive and let them off. This is to save the lives of the remaining passengers. But the murder of rupin katyal should be throughly investigated. This can be done later. But it is high time they release the passengers, and cannot keep them anymore. Seems like they are holed up and their demands also seems very ridiculous or they must be playing some joke. If the hijackers are not able to understand the plight of the passengers or atleast the children and women, we should show no mercy to them. except storming the plane. I also appreciate the support given by the relatives of the soldiers who were affected during the kargil war. The relatives of the Kargil war heroes should be there personally to help them to overcome the emotions of relatives of the hijacked passengers. i appreciate the government stance in this regard. The should not be allowed to take off from kandahar airport. The Afghan authorities should be applauded for their efforts and stern stance against the hijackers. So we should execercise some patience, because the ball is in the hijackers court. The hijackers will be losing time soon. if they do not release at least the women and children by to-day. They should not be shown

Message: under no circumstances should the demands of militants be accepted. This hijacking is a direct result of our giving in to the militants when Rubaiya Sayeed was held hostage. The politicians have already screwed up the country once ; atleast we citizens not repeat it again. It is very difficult for the relatives of the passengers to maintain calm but only at the hour of crisis does our test of patience is taken. Meanwhile the govt should consider taking military action against the hijackers. Either they should be killed on the spot to save the passengers or in case the comandos manage to free the passengers without killing the militants then the militants should be dragged all the way from Afghanistan to Delhi and should be fired in Chandni Chowk or atop the red fort.

Message: The hijackers are able to demand what they want only because they hold the lives of 155 people in their hands. The Indian government should remind them coldly that it has more of the Kashmiri terrorists' lives and can kill them when it wants. As evidence, four of the terrorists, whose release is being demanded by the hijackers, should be killed to compensate for the dead passenger. Then, a warning should be issued that for every passenger harmed, four of the terrorists will be killed in Indian prisons. When the hijackers realise that Indian government too has something that they want, the problem will end. Human rights and amnesty will shout but just ignore them. Where are they when 155 innocent lives are threatened? Are these lives not human? In fact, it only the terrorists who have shown themselves to be sub-human and undeserving of any human rights!

The indian govt. by taking its time are using a strategyh wherein the terrorist might get tired out and possibly do commando operation. By releasing the terrorists we send a wrong message. Let every person who is affected note that every militant released can be a cuse for many Indian lives. If I were in Vajpayee's shoes I would bomb the hell out of Pakistan and make them remove from International Map. It is so pathetic Indians are not behaving like the Israeles. We have to be merciless and kill these assholes. The US would have done the samething. Just a reminder to everone what happened to 3 soldiers in Kosovo war. Nobody dared to touch the Americans. If Indians cannot act le them call Clinton and use to kill these bastards. Make sure you kill the families of these terrorists so there is no seed of terrorism. Jai Hind Vande Mataram

Message: No, although i sympathize with the passengers onboard and their relatives it is foolish to let go the militantants. For one thing this will lead to more hijackings and the Indians will be in a position where they may never keep the captured militants, which inturn will demoralize the our jawans who take such pains in capturing them. If by any chance, Go Forbid, our passengers happen to be killed i suggest bringing a rule to kill all captured militants (especially those from our very very friendly borders) to killed immediately after a proof of malice is established. So that we have none to release when some bloody hijacker demands. Kill them Kill them all. They are inhuman, unfit to stay among us.

Message: Hello This is such a BIG dilema for India. Should we give in to the HJs' demands Or give utmost priority to the saftey issue of our nation. To my mind, any other option is difficult option. Only way we can achieve BOTH is if Taliban govt renders some help to India. But why they would? After all, this hijack drama has been conjured up by Pakistan and Taliban. At the moment, I think the Indian govt is handling the situation well. This is a good strategy to delay the process and in the process tire the HJs down. bye for now

Message: Hi, Without any prejudice I think maulana Masood should not be exchanged for the lieves of the crew and passengers on Flight 814. I think even it were my son on that same plane I would not take a different decision. If we take one such move today and commit the mistake of leaving these terrorists out they will make it routine. Sacrifice comes with a prize. Our Indian soldiers are also human beings. They have layed their lives to save bharat Ma. Many may say it is their duty. You are right but doesn't their lives and sacrifice make any sense to you ? I am very sorry for those trapped in the flight. But just think of this like this. What would have happened if the flight had collided somewhere or ran into a engine problem which could not be solved and had to go down. This is like a accident. An accident in which some hounding animals have taken the aircraft by force. I think we must have respect for our beloved prime minister and out Indian army and take this as a bitter pill. I know people will disagree to this. But do you want to give away 1 billion indian rupees and 35 militants and risk India or think that this will be a lesson to the hijackers that they will not hijack any plane again because we have a history where we pay for no hostages

Message: No Doubt India missed their golden chance in amritsar where NSG guards could have stormed the plane and could have killed the cowards , past is past now they should think with cool head whereby they can destroy the hijackers as well as protect the passengers. But no question arises of succumbing to their demands as don't forget Kargil Martyrs they were related to somebody too.How can people forget them so don't be mean and think about Nation and remember Rippan Katyal who died in this too don't let his blood go waste.may god support passengers,JAI HIND.

If he is foolish enough, he may lead us to his other co-conspirators in the whole Kashmir issue. As soon as the people on the hijacked AI flight are released and out of harms way, the Govt. should go all out and capture the Maulana and his other co-conspirators.

Message: No Not Never Ever send a wrong signal to these Jihadi mutants. These Pakistanis cannot fight a real fight and will fight proxy wars all their life. By succumbing to their demands, the Indian govt. will only help boost the Jihadi mentality. Negotiate with Taliban to let Indian Commandos under UN auspicies take control of AIrcraft.

Be aggresive and show the enemies like the Pakistanis what we are made to do. Ken Menen

Message: Either way India does not have the vantage point. If Maulana Masood Azhar and his 35 cohorts are released they will continue their acts of terrorism against India. I believe that not releasing them does not put even a slight dent in their campaign of terrorism unless there is a complete resolution of the Kashmir dispute. So I vote for saving the lives of the innocent hostages and releasing the captive militants. Meanwhile Jaswant Singh(completely brainless individual) - and Vajpayee (Was he the only one in a billion that we could make prime minister) should get a clue about how to run a country!!

Message: Use of brains and power can solve the crisis. It is high time that the Indian government, used it brains and power to solve this crisis. One has to observe that the Hijackers have been under pressure, the last cople of days, when the power failed in the aircraft. A smooth commando operation could have been undertaken, under the pre-text of reparing the engine,in the aircraft. There are many hijack drama's that have been ended in this form. The government has to continue, to keep the link with the hijackers, and use force,in a tactful manner. I think that is the call of the hour...

Message: I dont think that govt should leave the militants at the cost of the passengers and crew members bcoz at the time of kargil so many army people have died to save the country & people. From so many years the militants are killing innocent people. So at any cost the militants should not be released or their any demands should be fulfilled. Passengers in the hijacked plane should keep the motto "Die or Kill" If they are ready to take risk they can kill those six militants at last they are around 150 thats the only way they can help themselves and others and country

On the other hand, releasing that Masood, would only make the mullas look like hijras for they proved them selves that they need to hold kids and women's hostage. They know they can't fight against the Indian Army and free their prisioner. we should also give thenm 200 million bangles to share with their troops, when we send over masood. For the blood of 160 good humans is a waste to save the life of one bad. On the other hand, I don't know why that guy is even kept alive in the

Message: I think Indian Government should counter terrorize the terrorists. We can give ultimatum to the terrorist like, If the hostages are not released within a day, every Kashmiri militant arrested in India would lose a hand / leg or partially blinded, etc, in the most torturous manner. We should play them at their own game. Dont bother about human rights organization or anything. It is alright to be Barbaric WITH barbarians to survive. Ahimsa wont work with these BLOODY MORONS. We should teach them a lesson that they dare not play with Indian lives again in their life time.
