Sonia to blitz nine states starting Thursday, skips Tamil Nadu

Sonia Gandhi will begin a whirlwind election campaign of nine states from Thursday.

The week-long programme is to commence with a public meeting at Chandrapur, in Maharashtra. She will address election rallies at Hingoli, Nanded and Aurangabad in Maharashtra and Karimnagar and Nizamabad in Andhra Pradesh, the same day.

On February 20, she will address meetings at Saharsa, Madhubani and Maharajganj in Bihar, Salempur in Uttar Pradesh and Sihora and Riwa in Madhya Pradesh.

On Febraury 22, Gandhi will visit Hamirpur, Kandga and Mandi in Himachal Pradesh followed by meetings at Ahmedabad and Bombay. The next day she will campaign in Kerala where she will address meetings at Cannanore, Calicut, Ottapallam, Trichur, Kottayam, Chengannur, Kottarakara and Trivandurum.

She will address six public meetings in Gujarat the next day starting from Bharuch. Other places where she would campaign include Himmat Nagar, Desa in Banaskanta, Surendra Nagar, Bhavnagar and Baroda.

On February 25, she will go to Bhind, Shahdol, Bilaspur and Raigad in Madhya Pradesh, besides Pune in the evening. On the last day she will address meetings at Narghat, Diamond Harbour, Barrackore and Serampore in West Bengal.
