EC orders repoll in 821 polling booths in Bihar and UP
The Election Commission on Wednesday ordered a
repoll in 821 polling booths covering 44 parliamentary
constitiuencies in Bihar and Uttar Pradesh where polling was
vitiated on February 16.
Of these, 700 polling booths, covering 30 Lok Sabha
constituencies, are in Bihar and the remaining 121 are in Uttar
Pradesh covering 14 parliamentary constitiuencies.
These polling booths are in addition to the 599 polling booths
where a repoll was ordered by the Commission on Tuesday.
The decision to order the repoll was taken by the Election Commission
after considering the reports received from the observers, returing
officers and other quarters.
