Swamy and his plans

The Janata Party, in its recently-released manifesto, has promised to do wonders for the Indian economy. There would be wholesome globalisation, wholesome liberalisation and wholesome privatisation.

Better still, out of the window will go income tax, that compulsory year-end tribute to the government.

The manifesto also promises industry status (with the attendant tax and loan concessions, of course!) to agriculture, an effective national security doctrine, and doubling of salaries for teachers at all levels. And the current public distribution system would be replaced.

So, voters, want to give JP chief Subramanian Swamy and his friends a chance?
