PIX: Bollywood attends Apsara awards

The Bollywood brigade graced the Apsara awards held on January 25 at the Yash Raj studio in Andheri, a western Mumbai suburb.

Kareena Kapoor, who has quite an eventful year ahead of her -- her film Agent Vinod is finally ready to see the light of the day and a wedding may be on cards too -- looked positively radiant in her white gown as she arrived for the show.

The current tour de force in Bollywood, actress Vidya Balan made yet another appearance in a trusted Sabyasachi sari and looked great.

Vidya picked up another Best Actress award for her sensational turn as Silk in Milan Luthria's The Dirty Picture.

Actress Anushka Sharma, who's usually seen working western outfits, sported an intricately designed sari for the event.

Priyanka Chopra, who is riding high on the success of Agneepath, went the sari route as well for the show.

The actress picked up the Entertainer of The Year award and was taken by surprise.

She later tweeted, "had a great time at the apsara awards last night..entertainer of the year..now thats an award i didn't expect..dunno how to do anything else."

The actress's cousin Parineeti Chopra picked up the Best Supporting Actress award as well as the Best Debut (Female) award for her role in Ladies v/s Ricky Bahl.

Actress Shazahn Padamsee wore a glamorous cutout dress for the event.

The evening saw several scintillating performances from actresses like Ameesha Patel, Anushka Sharma and Kareena Kapoor.

Soon-to-be-married couple Riteish Deshmukh and Genelia D'Souza performed on a medley of songs, narrating their love story.

Ameesha Patel joined the sari brigade at the event, as she arrived in a black lacy number.

The petite actress danced to some recent hit songs like Chikni Chameli (Agneepath), Oh la la (The Dirty Picture) and Madhubala (Mere Brother in Dulhan).

Actress Sameera Reddy, who starred in the hit Tamil film Vettai, was yet another attendee in a sari.

A frail-looking Rajesh Khanna was one of the attendees at the awards show.

The erstwhile superstar later joined his contemporaries -- Vinod Khanna, Zeenat Aman and Jaya Bachchan --
 on stage to commemorate 100 years of Indian cinema.

Sridevi, who's all set to come back on the silver screen with English Vinglish, wore a gorgeous floor length Ellie Saab gown for the event.

She was accompanied by producer husband Boney Kapoor.

The toast of this year's award season, Ranbir Kapoor cut a dapper picture in suit as he arrived for the do. He picked up the Best Actor trophy for his film, Rockstar.

Meanwhile, his father Rishi Kapoor is also getting rave reviews for his work in Agneepath.

While Farhan won the Best Supporting actor trophy for his role in Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara, sister Zoya picked up the Best Director trophy.
