Salman Khan's 'super cute' birthday cake

Sneha Ullal, who debuted with Lucky: No Time for Love opposite Salman Khan, couldn't make it to his birthday yesterday.

She tweeted: 'Cudnt party with Mr Bodyguard today..feel bad abt it but there is always next year.'

But she did receive pictures of the party and shared one of them on Twitter: 'Check out Salman's cake. super cute', she wrote.

Sonu Sood, on the other hand, flew to Mumbai from Hyderabad especially for the party. 'Came from hyd to mum for salman bhai's b'day at 1am n now at 5am heading back to hyd straight to the location for my shoot.when will I sleep,' he updated.

 

Karan Johar and Ekta Kapoor's love story

Karan Johar and Ekta Kapoor have joined hands for a new film. The two producers will start work on a love story in 2012.

Karan tweeted: 'Ekta and I are super excited about the script we are producing together....will announce details as we cast the film and title it!!!'

The cast is yet to be finalized but the film is going to be directed by debutant Akshay Roy. Filmmaker Anurag Kashyap wished more power to the team.

'First Ruchi Narayan and now Akshay Roy. Karan Johar and Ekta Kapoor are doing what most big studios were scared to do. More power to them. Akshay Roy is really a super director. has been waiting for so long to make his first feature. really looking forward to it. Also there is Sonam (not Kapoor) whose film is being produced by Karan Johar. Another very interesting filmmaker. Hope more people follow,' he tweeted.

Mallika Sherawat who is reportedly getting paid Rs. 4 lakh for her thumkas on New Year's Eve, is busy with rehearsals.

She tweeted: 'Luv doin Pranayam,ready for new year eve rehearsels now:)'

Sushmita Sen is in Thailand with her kids. 'I have missed you all soooooooo much...a warm happy hug all the way from Koh Samui Thailand,' she wrote.

Dino Morea shared a picture from his holiday as he tweeted: 'Finally on holiday. Happy holidays to all. 

Lara Dutta reflected on the year. 'This year has been a HUGE learning yr!Sooo many important things learnt!Excited about what the coming yr holds! The possibilities r endless!' she updated.

Funnyman Arshad Warsi is in Mussoorie. 'a very gd mrng to all. i m at Rokeby Manor in massoorie, i call it my 2nd home, will post pictures later, was up at 4:30...' he wrote.

Ram Gopal Varma to appear on Love 2 Hate U

It hasn't been long since director Ram Gopal Varma refused to appear on the third season of Koffee With Karan.

But he agreed to appear on Arjun Rampal's show Love 2 Hate U and has already shot the episode.

Arjun Rampal tweeted: 'Shot for #love2hateu with @RGVzoomin good show.'

While the director himself made an interesting observation about Anna's fast in Mumbai.

He tweeted: 'Ahhhhhhhhhhh ! So after all the hype the Mmrda film at Mumbai turned out to be `Anna hazaare ki Aag`

Neil Nitin Mukesh is quite the ladies' man!

Jana Gana Mana turns 100!

Yesterday marked a hundred years since Indian national anthem Jana Gana Mana came into being.

Amitabh Bachchan shared trivia about the anthem as he tweeted: 'A 100 years of our National Anthem .. sing along and you cannot but feel the tears swell up with deep emotion .. amazing it happens. For long years the Anthem ended as ... jaya, jaya, jaya jaya hey !! ' bharat bhagya vidhaata !!' Then the last line was omitted ..!'

Akshay Kumar updated, 'All Indians should be extremely proud today. The song that unites us all, our National Anthem, Jana Gana Mana, written & composed by Nobel Laureate Rabindranath Tagore turns 100 today. Jai Hind!'
