Amitabh Bachchan enjoyed his time with family as well. 'Such a joy to be with grandchildren ...non stop action, banter, activity, restless and keen to do so many things all at once ..tiring,' he tweeted.

Bipasha Basu posted a picture of herself with her sisters.
'Spent my new year's eve with my lil sisters vijayeta n baitalikee♥Funnnnnn!' she tweeted.

Akshay Kumar recapped the past few weeks of his life with this tweet: wrote, 'What a hectic time its been, with TMK releasin, Christmas, my wife's birthday, new years but as always the only free time i really get is when im waiting for my plane, so here i am writing to u from an airport waiting for my connection to Phuket. Just sittin here thinkin about plans for this year, about how big my son is getting, what im gonna do for my wife for our anniversary.'

He went on: 'We've just come back from probably the best holiday eva in Goa. All our friends & family came there & made my wife's birthday so special.'

Ram Gopal Varma was shocked with the news that the man who inspired Suriya's character in Rakth Charitra was shot dead yesterday. Prime accused in the murder of Telugu Desam Party legislator Paritala Ravi in 2005 -- Maddelacheruvu Suryanarayana Reddy alias Suri -- was only 39 years old.

'Its shocking to see a person with whom i have been inter acting with for over a year for research of Rc just lying there still and lifeless,' RGV tweeted, adding: 'By the time I finished rakta charitra the reality became a film for me and now this incident jolted me back into reality'

Lisa Ray, who has survived cancer, is reported to marry Canadian businessman W Brett Wilson, who also happens to be a cancer survivor. She wrote, 'Share shock: brainstewing on Moksha Yoga Brampton with Paris. Gonna fill this year with lightness, fun and some sweaty yoga- who's in?'
