Bollywood stars get down to vote.

Not all Bollywood stars headed to IIFA before the Lok Sabha elections on April 24.

Quite a few actors stepped out to cast their vote, as well as tweet about it. We take a look:

Shilpa Shetty, who cast her vote in Juhu, tweeted: 'Hey Tweeto's Every vote counts. Make yours count too be a responsible Indian.'

Varun Dhawan, who celebrates his 27th birthday today, also voted.

Farhan Akhtar, who cast his vote at Mount Mary School in Bandra, tweeted: '#GoMumbai Let's see more inked fingers this time.. More than ever before.' 

Soha Ali Khan tweeted: 'I just voted. No matter what the result I know my vote counts - my voice matters.'

Preity Zinta flew in to Mumbai to cast her vote. She tweeted: 'It's time to stop complaining about the system & take action. Boys n girls either Vote now or forever keep Quiet !'

Filmmaker Madhur Bhandarkar appealed to voters, saying: 'I want to make an extremely strong appeal to those who abstained. #Vote. It takes five minutes and then it stays for five years.'

English Vingish director Gauri Shinde posted a picture and wrote: 'It counts.'

Dia Mirza stepped out early in the morning to exercise her right to vote. 'Thank you Khar Police:) and thank you #EC for making it such a simple n convenient experience,' she tweeted.

Actress Amrita Arora left her children at home, and went to out to vote. She shared a picture and tweeted: 'I rocked my vote! All done, I feel good...come on mumbai, get up n get out thr..Let's Rage..our vote!!' 

'For all the women voters, get ur nail polish off..I was made to..only on the voting finger,' she added.

Kunal Khemmu had a rough time, as he couldn't find his name on the voting list initially.

'And finally I Vote. Where there is a will there is a way/vote,' he tweeted.

Shreyas Talpade tweeted: 'Ek Bote (meaning finger in Marathi)...Ek Vote.'

Director Kunal Kohli tweeted: 'C'mon Mumbai show me your finger #Elections2014 I voted. Have you?'

Kunal Kapoor wrote, 'I got INKED!! You??'

Rahul Bose was one of the first voters in the city. He tweeted: 'And so it is done. 7.13am. Third voter in the booth. Mumbai, aaple vote tak. Mahatvaca aahe.' 

'And for those asking, I don't vote Mumbai South. I vote Mumbai South Central,' he added.

Singer Kailash Kher flaunted his vote finger and tweeted: 'Powerful Ungli .This Mark will Set the Rout 4people to go to show honesty in Parliament. Proud 2 Vote.'
