Stepping into John Abraham's shoes

A qualified Doctor, Ajmal Amir shot to fame as an actor in Tamil with the role of Kriba in Mysskin's Anjathe.

Though the film and his role were well appreciated, he was not seen in Tamil for over a year. In between, he acted as Mohanlal's younger brother in Matambi, one of the most successful movies of 2008 in Malayalam.

Ajmal Amir's second Tamil film, TN 07 AL 4777, a remake of the Hindi film Taxi No 9211, which starred John Abraham is ready for release this weekend. Ajmal steps into John's shoes while Pasupathy will repirse Nana Patekar's role.

In this interview, the doctor-turned-actor talks about his new film.
