For Major Ravi, making films is equally important a mission as it was serving the country.
After his stint in the Indian Army, he chose to assist Raj Kumar Santoshi in Pukar and China Gate and then Priyadarsan in films like Megham, Vettom and Malamaal Weekly.
He also co-directed Punarjani with Rajesh Amanakara and then, scripted and directed Kirtichakra. The war movie starring Mohanlal turned out to be a big hit. He followed it up with Mission 90 Days, a movie detailing the hunt for killers of former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi. The film starred Mammootty.
Now Major Ravi is back with Kurukshetra, another war movie based on the historical Kargil war. Mohanlal plays Colonel Mahadevan.
