Allu Arjun continued his successful run in films with the year's first major release Desamuduru. He donned a new look and was the talk of the town for his physique. In this new long-haired avatar, Arjun played the role of a TV journalist who falls in love with a sanyasin.

He made a mark despite a wafer thin-story by sheer dint of his performance, replete with fights and dance. This performance enabled him to taste success for the fourth time.
