Poll: Would YOU wear jeans to meet the President?

Last updated on: April 7, 2011 19:31 IST

Let us know whether you approve of these famous fashion choices!

A sari to the beach, pants to Parliament, jeans to a wedding reception -- these celebs believe in breaking away from conventional norms when it comes to fashion.

Do you agree with their sense of style? Vote and let us know!

Sakshi Dhoni

When her cricket captain hubby and the rest of his teammates were felicitated by President Pratibha Patil on Sunday post their sensational World Cup win, Sakshi watched proudly from the sidelines.

You'd think that such a grand occasion warranted a silk sari or some such befitting outfit, but the pretty young Mrs Dhoni decided to leave the fuss and feathers at home. She wore a pretty chiffon blouse and jeans!

Maybe the Prez is willing to overlook Sakshi's wardrobe, given that she makes some eccentric choices herself sometimes.

Back in January, she was captured relaxing on a Goa beach wearing a silk sari! Not that we're suggesting she should have been in a swimsuit, but really? A silk sari?

Priyanka Gandhi Vadra

President Patil could pick up a style tip or two from the young, charming Mrs Vadra. Priyanka created quite a stir back in 2009 when she wore pants to Parliament, presumably the first-ever Indian woman politician to do so!

Yuvraj Singh

Certainly looks like the cricket fraternity likes to keep things casual. Back in January, Yuvi turned up at Avantika and Imran Khan's wedding reception in a tee, jeans and sneakers!

Amisha Patel

At the same function, actress Ameesha Patel also decided to stand out in the crowd -- she was the only one among the ladies who wore a gown instead of an ethnic ensemble.

Kiran Bedi

We don't need to pinpoint an occasion when it comes to this venerable personality. Bedi prefers masculine silhouettes to fluttering feminity -- you'll rarely see her in anything other than jackets, shirts and kurtas!

Deepika Padukone

The bold and beautiful Ms Padukone never shies away from making her own style statements and the Airtel Mirchi Music Awards in October were no exception. Whereas her filmi colleagues don saris and gowns for such dos, she looked hot in a strapless sequinned mini!

Celina Jaitley

And finally, we come to Celina Jaitley, the only B-Town beauty who doesn't mind showing off her legs in hotpants off-screen. Wish more actresses would take their lead from her!
