Mrunal Thakur recently posed as a bride-to-be for Aza fashion magazine's digital issue.
In a series of photographs posted on the magazine's Web site, Mrunal is seen dressed in red, blue and and an ivory white lehengas designed by Jayanti Reddy, Anushree Reddy and Manish Malhotra.
Sharing the cover photograph, the magazine wrote on Instagram: 'Our cover star embodies the spirit of a brave new world. Humble, warm, and completely self-made, she has both feet planted firmly on the ground despite the slew of successful films and shows that dominate her IMDB list.'
'Unprecedented recent events have led us all on a journey inwards, sparking introspection, reflection and transformation. With heightened awareness around the impact of sartorial choices on the nation and humanity at large, an informed discussion around provenance, technique, and the artisans that make it all possible has become vital,' it further explained.
'Couture is not cancelled. On the contrary, it's time to shift focus away from one-time-wear garments to high-quality, handcrafted creations that can be treasured, repeated, and passed down through generations. In this 'new normal' world, the experience of a garment and how it makes the wearer feel is more important than ever before.'
On the cover, Mrunal is wearing an ivory white layered lehenga paired beautifully with an embellished blouse with a plunging neckline from Manish Malhotra's Taban collection.
Mrunal is styled by Priyankka Castellino and photographed by Tejas Nerurkar.
