The secret to gorgeous locks is here!

Healthy hair is important not just for women alone, but men too.

Beautiful hair enhances your personality as well!

People who suffer from an extreme hair fall at an early age tend to lack confidence and self-esteem.

A normal hair fall of roughly 100 strands per day is normal.

Before you decide to start any intensive hair loss treatment, it is very important to first find out whether there is any serious underlying medical condition causing your hair to fall such as thyroid problems, anaemia or heavy menstrual cycles.

If thin hair is a part of one's family history, you may first try out these simple tips and techniques at home, before you decide to go in for any treatment for hair fall.

  • Take one cup of mustard oil, add 4 tablespoons of Henna leaves and boil them together. Rub onto the areas where the hair fall is heavy.
  • Ground fenugreek seeds can be applied to the scalp daily. Leave it on for 40 minutes.
  • A simple hair loss treatment is the vigorous rubbing of the scalp after rinsing the hair with cold water.
  • An effective cure for baldness is to rub an onion to the scalp till it turns red and then apply honey to it.
  • Mix a little bit of honey with the yolk of an egg. Massage on your scalp and leave it on for 30 minutes for best results.
  • A homemade shampoo to combat hair loss is a mixture of 5 tbsp of curd, 1 tbsp of lemon juice and 2 tbsp of gram raw flour. It should be applied and left on for at least one hour.
  • Boil 100 gm of amla, reetha and shikakai in two litres of water till the water becomes half and apply.
  • Coconut oil or aloe vera gel can be massaged into the scalp and rinsed after 30 minutes.
  • A long term treatment is the application of aloe vera with Triphala powder.
  • Coconut oil mixed with lime juice is also known to prevent extreme hair loss.
