Island paradise: Lakshadweep and the Andamans

November 11, 2008

Islands like that promise virgin beaches are also sought after as wedding destinations. However, as they are known to have lesser infrastructure and facilities, the guest list has to be exclusive.

Where to do it

With just secluded seas and the blue sky for company, it's a dream to get married on Lakshwadeep or the Andamans. The planner will arrange for cruises, underwater excursions and even snorkeling and scuba-diving along with your wedding ceremonies.

"We have been promoting Lakshwadeep and here also, legal permission is a must. There are several islands and the cost would be similar to Goa if you leave out water sports," says Anvita. Neeti adds that these islands allow only small groups and it would be better if it is just a couple wedding that extends into the honeymoon, otherwise it may not be cost-effective.
