An easy climb

We woke up at five the next morning for the trek to the Chembra peak. From the window we could see the peak engulfed in mist. At six we met Suresh, the guide Pavithran had arranged for us, and after a light breakfast, were on our way to the Meppadi forest office from where we had to collect the pass for the trek.

Airfare for Rs 599 and less!

We went up the hill in an auto rickshaw through tea estates to reach the foothills of the Chembra peak, the starting point of the trek.

We started our trek with great enthusiasm, climbing very fast until we were tired.

The beginning of the trek was not very tough as we walked up the path through shrubs and trees. It was slightly slippery. There was no mist.
