Mist all around

The view from Lakkidi was not so great because of the heavy mist. We could, however, make out the rolling hills of the Western Ghats. On a clear day one can see the winding roads to Calicut, just 60 km away.

Airfare for Rs 599 and less!

On our way back to the hotel, we decided to visit the Soochipara waterfalls, 22 km from Kalpetta. It was a beautiful drive on winding roads and through tea plantations. We were tempted to stop at each bend, but we had to make do with a couple of quick stops to shoot pictures.

We made it to the waterfalls just in time. The light was fading fast. After a good look and a few pictures we were back on our way to the hotel. We made the return journey in pitch darkness with only the bike headlight to guide us.
