Biggest defeats for India

Australia beat India by 217 runs in the first Test at Bangalore on the fifth and final day despite a stiff resistance from the lower order. The defeat is India's biggest against Australia and fifth biggest against all opponents at home soil.

In all India have now suffered 15 losses by 200 or more runs - surprisingly 8 of them have come in India.
