Walt Disney's name lives on in history as the creator of a magical world and now his mansion is on the market for $3.65 million.

His 1932 twelve-room California mansion where he once lived, features a Mediterranean-style entry, a circular rotunda and painted ceilings decorate the interior and a pool in the backyard.

The home's value has boomed compared to its initial $50,000 building fee and was completed in just under two months after the Mouse House released a handful of successful short films.

It's rumoured 'Snow White and the Seven Dwarves' was screened at the residence, as studio bosses sent over daily takes for his approval.

A two-storey living room with beamed and vaulted ceilings and wrought-iron rails gives the home a whimsical feel.

It also has its original leaded stained glass windows and hard wood floors.

Disney lived in this home for about 18 years, although he owned several Los Angeles properties, including a well-known residence he kept on 355 North Carolwood Drivewhich has since been destroyed.

He also built a property at Lyric Avenue which stands today.
