It cost him Rs.35 lacs as he also had to pay import duty on this hi tech pump. \Our govt collects 12.36% svc tax on our Mediclaim premium & if we r hospitalized v again pay 12.36% ST on hospital bills. Medclaim cos reimburse only medical expenses whilst service tax on hospital bills goes thru our own pocket. Also there r several taxes, import duties on all drugs.\Now compare this with govt. generosity of monetarily waiving import duty on Sachin's Ferrari. Is it fair
