There was a news report recently that when President Pratibha Patil was to leave for China and some visiting head of state for Agra the Delhi airport was closed for a long period of time, and the flights which were to land were kept circling for half an hour before being redirected to nearby airports of Chandigarh, Lucknow and Jaipur, and some planes had only 13, 10 and 3 minutes of fuel left!!! That means it put the lives of 500 Indians at risk!! Why are the lives of our citizens put at risk for giving security to heads of states and ministers? Is the life of an ordinary citizen less imp?
