PHOTOS: Lingerie... nay Legends Football League

The Legends Football League was started in 2009 and emerged as one of the fastest growing sports leagues in the United States. Now, it is spreading its wings towards Australia too.
LFL is a women's 7-on-7 American football league and the women certainly play fierce football.

In order to give the sport legitimacy it underwent rebranding and changed its name from the Lingerie Football League to the Legends Football League in 2013.
It did justice to the sport as these women really mean business!

The uniforms for these gorgeous women have changed. Instead of frilly knickers and garters they sport crop tops and tight shorts.

Majority of the players have a background in competitive athletics.
A lot of the girls get into the LFL though the love and admiration for NFL.

A lot of the athletes insist that though there are differences in the LFL and NFL, the soul of the two games remains the same.

LFL encourages the athletes to participate in strength, speed and agility drills.
Needless to say, these girls are brave and fit enough to fight it out.

Legends Football League Australia is set to premiere its inaugural season in December 2013, with franchise teams in Perth, Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane.
