Here’s your weekly dose of some of the most bizarre news stories from around the world.

Hundreds of naked bike enthusiasts swarmed through Manchester city in United Kingdom in a mass show of cycling solidarity. The crowd of bare bikers streaked through the city streets -- causing crowds of onlookers to stop and stare open-mouthed. The crowd of male and female cyclists – some with environmental slogans emblazoned across their backs – rode around the city centre before heading back to where they began. The bizarre annual event, part of World Naked Bike Ride Day, is now in its ninth year. Organiser Sean Fitton said there were more than 200 participants for the 2014 event – double last year's turnout.

This extreme toy boy raises a few eyebrows when he steps out with his lover because baby-faced Kyle Jones, 31, is in a relationship with a 91-year-old great-grandmother. Kyle, from Augusta, Georgia, dates numerous pensioners at the same time and even takes them home to meet his mother, 50. And despite the 60-year age gap, the pair has an active sex life and can't keep their hands off each other.

Woman dials police to complain of lack of sprinkles

An irate woman called emergency services to moan her ice cream did not have enough chocolate sprinkles. West Midlands Police’s Force Contact team gave a suitably icy response when operators received the time-wasting request.

'Love locks' weigh heavy on Paris's bridge

Le Pont des Arts, the landmark Paris footbridge that links the Louvre museum to the Saint Germain neighbourhood, is buckling under the weight of “love locks.” The Paris mayor's office closed the bridge Sunday night to replace a grate after thousands of padlocks weighed down its structure. Its railings are crumbling, threatening pedestrians on the bridge and cruise boats that ply under it on the SeineRiver. The bridge was reopened Monday.

The incredibly calm Japanese cat

Cats don’t come any more chilled out than Shironeko -- the carefree looking fur ball from Japan who has quite literally mastered the art of looking happy. So relaxed is this Japanese kitty in every pose he pulls, it’s hard to tell whether he is sleeping, smiling or doing both. And while cats have that uncanny ability to find solace in tight spaces, Shironeko finds his inner zen in some of the strangest spots imaginable.

His eyes shut, cheeks and chin puffed and lips pursed Shironeko is perhaps the happiest looking cat there is.

Witches and druids are reportedly among new army recruits who will be defending the United Kingdom. Figures released by the Ministry of Defence showed almost 1,000 new staff had declared themselves members of the niche faiths. The statistics revealed around 360 people said they were pagans, with another 160 confirming themselves as spiritualists.

Pugs in love tie the knot

A pair of love-struck pet pugs got married in a £2,000 (Rs 2 lakh) ceremony, complete with wedding dresses, tuxedos and a best dog. Bride Betty dazzled in a custom-made white dress while Albert wore a smart tux topped off with a trilby and a bow tie.

Wedding rings were exchanged and attached to collars in the moving ceremony. Their owner Christine Reynolds, 52, a dog groomer from Milton Keynes, said: “I know what people must think. I am barking mad, but I know my pugs are in love so getting them married seem like the right thing to do. Now that they are married they can sleep in the same bed and hopefully have some puppies together.”

First swimming pool just for canines opens in Spain

Now, dog lovers can treat man’s best friend to a break of their own -- by booking them into a resort which boasts a swimming pool just for canines. The new facility is making splash in the canine world after it opened at The Resort Canino Can Jane in the town of Rocadel Valles. The resort is a five-star hotel for pooches with a pool designed to be the right depth for dogs of all shapes and sizes. The large aqua park also includes a water slide, as well as extra tough inflatables.

This hotel allows you to sleep with the fish

At 21 feet below the surface, Jules Undersea Lodge in Florida brings a whole new meaning to the phrase sleeping with the fishes. It’s the world’s only underwater hotel, where guests can stay overnight -- and that includes a Papa John’s pizza for dinner. To reach the lodge, which started life as a research laboratory, guests have to scuba 21 feet down into the sea, which is brimming with reef fish, tropical angel fish, snappers and barracuda.

A beer festival in the PoconoMountain region of Pennsylvania, which will be held on June 28, has made nudity a requirement not a choice for visitors. On Sunny Rest Resort’s official site, nudity is also required and encouraged in the pools and hot tub.

Batmobile lands up in China

A Shanghai police officer recently stumbled on an unusual sight - a full-sized replica of Batman’s Tumbler Batmobile from The Dark Knight Rises. The replica Tumbler was built by a 26 year-old prop maker named Li Weilei, who has managed to turn his love for the caped crusader into a booming business. The Tumbler cost Li and four of his friends roughly 70,000 yuan (Rs 6.64 lakh) and took two months to build and is constructed out of 10 tonne of scrap metal.

Paris opens up a 'girly' garage

When one brings in their car for servicing, one doesn’t expect a manicure.  But one brand-new garage near Paris is revamping the masculinist mode of auto repair to suit a female clientele. Only Girls, which opened in May in the suburb of Saint-Ouen-l'Aumone, caters to women who feel they've been sold short and charged long by mechanics in traditional auto shops.
