A senior police officer said motorcycle-borne militants fired indiscriminately at a passing vehicle of the Central Reserve Police Force in Rainawari locality of the capital city wounding seven jawans.

"The injured jawans were immediately shifted to hospital for treatment and condition of two is critical," the officer added.

The vehicle was carrying jawans for law and order duties in the city.
