Mumbai bomb scare: False alarm, say police

There was a scare in suburban Andheri on Wednesday when a bomb-like object was sighted outside a popular shopping mall.
Police said the bomb-like object was noticed outside the Infinity Mall in a garbage dump after with the entire area has been cordoned off.

The object looked like gelatin sticks bunched together with adhesive tapes.
The mall was evacuated and bomb detection and disposal squad reached the spot. All traffic movement was stopped

Vishwas Nagre Patil, ACP Mumbai police, told TV channels that the bomb squad has defused whatever it was, but X-ray showed it is not an explosive device.
Patil reiterated that there is no real danger to citizens and preliminary investigations were carried out by the bomb disposal squad.
