Wildfires sweeping across the Western United States have turned into major crises. While California Governor Jerry Brown declared a state of emergency in three Northern California counties on Wednesday as wildfires destroyed 64 homes, firefighters in Idaho were busy combating the more than fortnight-long jungle blaze which has put to threat life and property and has also taken a heavy toll on the booming adventure tourism industry, media reports stated.
The wildfires, caused mainly by soaring temperatures, heavy winds and lightning, have already destroyed more than 92,000 acres of forests and forced evacuation of nearly 3,000 people across the US.
