The father of 20-year-old NRI Anmol Sarna insisted on a CBI probe into his son's death, hinting at sexual assault on him by four friends on the fateful night and alleging a "cover up" by police in the case.
Anil Sarna, father of the deceased NRI student, claimed Anmol had received injuries on his private part which looked the friends wanted to do "something wrong to him."
He alleged the guards, against whom murder charges have been slapped, are being framed by the police.
"We are not satisfied with the police investigation which has many loopholes. The four friends are responsible his death. They have murdered my son. The two guards are being framed in the case. They are poor people and cannot defend themselves. I am seeking a CBI inquiry in the case", Anil Sarna told PTI.
Sarna hinted foul play and "sexual assault" by the four friends on Anmol.
"According to the post-mortem report, there are multiple fractures on his head. He had received injuries on his private parts. It looks like they wanted to do something wrong to him. His legs were also held," said Sarna.
"Anmol did not want to go to the party. He was coaxed to attend the party. He had never taken drugs. He was drugged and they wanted to do something wrong with him. When he tried to stop them, they hit him with a plate. There is a two-inch deep sharp cut on his head," said Sarna.
The father also rejected the claim of an eyewitness who said that the two guards arrested on murder charges are not guilty.
Claiming to be an eyewitness to the happenings of Friday night, a resident of South Park Apartments said that Anmol had no blood or wound on his head or face when he was being taken to the hospital.
"The blood will flow to back side. How could he see that when he was coming from the front? Why did he not speak earlier? Police have been seeking eyewitnesses in the case, why did he not come forward then"? said Anil Sarna.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (South East) Dr P Karunakaran claimed "we have all proof with us and only after corroborating facts, we have arrested the two guards."
Anmol Sarna died on the intervening night of Friday and Saturday after he attended a party at one of his friends house at South Park Apartments in Kalkaji area.
Surender Bali, 40, and Naresh Mishra, 60, guards posted at the South Park Apartments, have been arrested under section 302 (murder) of Indian Penal Code for causing grievous head injuries to Sarna with batons they were carrying after Sarna had created a ruckus at a duplex house of his friend Pranil Shah at South Parks Apartments in Kalkaji.
