Bollywood stars condemn London riots

Bollywood stars expressed concerns over the communal riots and their aftermath in London recently.

tweeted: 'Trying to understand what people get out of hurting people and why hate is such a strong emotion and how it can sometimes overrule love. We pray for the protection of lives and properties in London. Love and Peace. Let it Prevail.'

Singer Hard Kaur, who hails from London, wrote: 'Riots in london..its sad :('

Director Kunal Kohli, who is currently shooting in London with Priyanka Chopra and Shahid Kapoor, informed enquiring friends and colleagues: 'Been busy filming out of london, didn't hear of the riots till I got frantic messages from people asking our well being.All good where we are. In india we take for granted our armed forces will lay their lives for us. look at the western world and appreciate our soliders once more.'

Farhan Akhtar, who's eagerly-awaited film Don 2 starring Shah Rukh Khan is in its final stages of production, is very busy these days.

'Hey everyone... ZNMD had an amazing fourth weekend... thank you so much for the love you are showering on the film... overwhelmed.... I'm getting into Ostrich mode with the edit... always happens... start losing touch with other things in life... Don has me hooked!!' he tweeted.

Preity Zinta, who has been missing in action for a while now, recently shot for the first episode of her talk show with Akshay Kumar.

'Just finished the first day of shooting 4 my show! It was so nice 2 chat with Akki ! Full marks 2 him 4 being so amazing & humble :-) Ting!' she tweeted.

The actress also informs that the name of the show is yet to be finalised. 'The show will be for a new channel called UTV STARS. We are yet to finalise the name of the show so pls don't stop sending name options !' she added later.
