Recently several new young male actors have been trying to gain a foothold in the Kannada film industry.

Who are we talking about and what are they up to? Read on to find out...

Dhruva Sarja

He definitely comes with the right pedigree. Arjun Sarja's nephew, Dhruva, was launched with much hype and the good thing was that the film lived up to it.

His role as a young lover in his debut film Adhuri was tailor- made for him. Although the youngster has producers and directors lining up for his dates, he is in no hurry to sign his next film.

At the moment, all he wants to do is enjoy the success of Addhuri, he says.

Rakesh Adiga

The actor has come a long way since his first Kannada film Josh.

Manasology, that cast him opposite teenage heartthrob Amoolya, may have bombed at the box office, but Alemari in which he played a negative role, got him his much desired success.

Next the actor will be seen playing the villain in Yaare Kugadali, a Puneet Rajkumar starrer.

Ayodhyapuram, Preetinda and Notorious are his other projects.

Chetan Chandra

Even in a multi-starrer like Premism, Chetan Chandra, who was very much in need of a break, managed to hold his own.

His energetic performance and boy-next-door good looks earned him compliments and also a big budget film that will see him play the solo lead.

A toned and muscled Chetan will next be seen in Simharashi.

Suriya

His debut film Crazy Loka made a quick exit from theatres, but not before earning him a few compliments.

While Suriya earned brownie points for his cute looks, he does have a long way to go when it comes to acting.

Next up is a romantic film with director Neelam Singh.

Siddhanth

AK 56 was among the most expensive films made in recent times. Only it didn't offer the break Siddhanth was hoping for.

Not one to be bogged down by the mediocre response the film received, Siddhant is up and running with Chatrapathi.

The action flick is a remake of the Telugu film that goes by the same name.

Only time will tell if the actor can impress with his kicks and punches.
