Most of the high-profile films are waiting for the 'right season' to release, when viewers rush to the theatres. But a few medium budget projects are getting released in between. Here is a look at three of them.
Father's Day
Director: Kalavoor Ravikumar
Scenarist Kalavoor Ravikumar directs Father's Day, in which Oscar winner (for sound mixing in Slumdog Millionaire) Resul Pookkutty plays a cameo.
Revathy plays an unmarried English professor, Seethalakshmi. Then there are four men who are happily married, living in some other part of the town.
A young man Joseph, played by newcomer Shaheen, appears one day and reminds the rest of the characters about certain incidents that happened almost two decades ago. This takes the story forward.
Sankar, Suresh Krishna, Vijay Menon and Edavela Babu play the roles of the four men. Lal, Vineeth, KPAC Lalitha and beauty pageant winner Indu Thampi are also part of the cast.
