The reception was held before the wedding, as the muhurtham was at 2:41 am on May 6.

The venue, the resplendant HiTex, was thronged by fans to catch a gliimpse of the newlyweds.
The whole venue was decorated in an ornate manner with the statues of late NT Rama Rao and his wife Basava Tarakam also being placed there. The wedding was a visual treat.

Superstar Nagarjuna, Naga Chaitanya (walking behind), Akkineni Nageswara Rao and Amala Akkineni make their way to the reception.
Other film personalities who graced the wedding were Dasari Narayan Rao, K Raghavendra Rao, D Rama Naidu and D Suresh Babu among others.
The guests also included Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh Kiran Kumar Reddy, politicians (Venkaiah Naidu), bureaucrats and businessmen (Ramoji Rao).

After the wedding ceremony, the couple stands as husband and wife.
While NTR Jr comes from a well known family (he is the son of actor/politician Harikrishna and Shalini and the grandson of the thespian and former Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh Shri N T Rama Rao), Lakshmi is the daughter of Mallika and S Narne.
