Bollywood stars are a fashionable lot. Sometimes, they look straight out of the fashion magazines but just that once in a while, they get it wrong. We decided to play fashion police, and take a closer look at how celebs stepped out last week.

Slit Wide Open

Thigh-high slits seem to be the flavour of the season. The lovely Lisa Haydon wore a metallic Stella McCartney dress to a Chivas Kwan event in Grand Hyatt, Santa Cruz, a western Mumbai suburb.

As they say, if you've got them, flaunt them. And we couldn't agree more.

Rockstar hottie Nargis Fakhri was also present at the Chivas event.

After appearing almost everywhere dressed up like her character in the film, it was refreshing to see her bring some of her personal style with a Shivan & Narresh dress to an event.

Deepika Padukone attended a Desi Boyz promotional event in this cute Bebe one-shouldered dress.

While it might have been a bit of an overkil on anybody else, Deepika rocks it with her super-svelte frame and toned legs.

Actress Sonal Chauhan is a party girl in her cute dress and braided hair.

Actress Riya Sen attended the Chivas event in a bandage dress-like two-tone number and looked pretty good.

So much for a breather from embarrassingly short dresses! Now, the next step should be finding the right sized shoes. 

Model/actress Sarah Jane Dias kicked up the party mood in a dangerously short and edgy Shane and Falguni Peacock dress.

She rounded off the lok with black peep-toe heels and big, tousled hair. We like!

Actress Prachi Desai went all black for the Chivas event in a black cutesy nymber, black pumps and a black Mango clutch.

Malaika Arora Khan was at the Chivas bash too, but in a slightly boring outfit which comes as a bit of a surprise.

Known for her thigh-high slits and plunging necklines, Mrs Khan looked rather demure in this Alexander McQueen outfit.

Soha Ali Khan surprised us with her appearance at the Chivas event.

Dressed in a boyfriend blazer and a black dress, Soha may have been just another black lady of the night but it was a refreshing change to see her dress her age.
