Priyanka Chopra gets emotional

Priyanka Chopra got emotional on Twitter, as her father Dr Ashok Chopra is not keeping well and asked her fans to wish him a speedy recovery.

'Seeing my dad so weak and so fragile breaks me just a lil bit more.. Dads r supposed to be superheroes..need some prayers today,' she tweeted.

The actress visited the famed Siddhivinayak temple and Haji Ali dargah early this morning for blessings. 'Early morning aarti at siddhivinayak and an amazing ziyarat at haji ali...as the sun comes up I feel faith..and belief.. And hope,' she updated.

Thanking her fans for the prayers, she wrote: 'Thank u for all ur good wishes for my dad... Will convey the msg.. Means a lot to us as a family.'

When Pandit Ravi Shankar called Amitabh Bachchan

Amitabh Bachchan is saddened by the demise of Pandit Ravi Shankar.

'Just back after a long and strenuous day at KBC ... School Champs Episode ... lots of kids and they were brilliant .. our future safe but traumatised by the sad news of the passing away of Pt Ravi Shankar, the maestro, legend and icon of Indian Classical music !' he tweeted.

Bachchan says he was surprised to receive a call from him for the first time a week before the sitar maestro's demise.

'I had written how he had called me up a few days back just before going into surgery .. just wished to speak to me .. now gone !! and in his short conversation he did say that he was ging in for surgery and did not seem very confident of its success .. !!' he added.

'I have had many such experiences with people, who have in a sense had some premonition, of an unpleasant happening .. Strange !!' he added further.

Lisa Ray auctions her wedding sari

Indo-Canadian actress Lisa Ray, who recently married Jason Dehni is auctioning her wedding sari to start a special cancer project with the help of India Innovation Research Center (IIRC).

She shared a picture of her in the sari and added: 'It brought me a lot of joy, now it will bring hope. Auctioning my original Wedding Sari for a great cause.'

The 40-year-old actress is a cancer survivor. She was diagnosed with multiple myeloma on June 23, 2009. But later during the same year, she embraced her stem cell transplant to treat her rare cancer.

Shah Rukh Khan shoots non-stop

He is also missing his kids. 'i am beginning to miss my kids...not because i am not around them...but because i can feel they are heading towards not being kids anymore,' he wrote.
