Rockstar actress Nargis Fakhri will be playing the role of a secret agent in her debut Hollywood film, to be directed by Paul Feig.

"She (Nargis) will be seen as a sexy agent in a Fox production starring Jason Statham of Transporter fame and Melissa McCarthy, who was last seen The Heat," sources said.

The length of Nargis's role in the film and when she will begin shooting is yet to be known.

Nargis made her debut in Bollywood with Ranbir Kapoor starrer Rockstar. She was then seen in Shoojit Sircar's critically acclaimed film,  Madras Cafe. The model-actress also did a special song in Shahid Kapoor's Phata Poster Nikla Hero.

The 34-year-old actress will be next seen in David Dhawan's Main Tera Hero, which is slated to hit cinema houses next month.

Paul Feig helmed the Oscar nominated film Bridesmaids.

Actress Shraddha Kapoor is likely to step in the shoes of noted actress Rati Agnihotri for the remake of Shaukeen.

For the remake of Basu Chatterjee's 1982 hit film, the makers are looking for a new leading lady after Nargis Fakhri walked out citing date issues.

The makers are in talks with Shraddha for the role.

The original film revolved around three old men -- Ashok Kumar, Utpal Dutt and AK Hangal -- who try to impress a young dancer -- Rati Agnihotri. In the original film, Mithun Chakraborty played the role of Rati's boyfriend.

Now, Annu Kapoor, Paresh Rawal and Anupam Kher will be reprising the roles of the three old men while Akshay Kumar will step into Mithun's shoes.

Earlier, the film was to be directed by Rumi Jaffrey, who directed God Tussi Great Ho. Later Abhishek Sharma of Tere Bin Laden fame replaced him.

The film is scheduled to go on floors in April.

"I was very excited about Shaukeen and we had been preparing for a while now. There was another opportunity in the pipeline and we tried to work out the dates so that I could be a part of both but the dates were clashing. I couldn't have asked the team to wait for me, so it's heartbreaking but I had to let the film go," Nargis said.

"I was really excited to work with the team of Shaukeen and Abhishek Sharma, who is a terrific director. A bond with the film and team members of Shaukeen remains and I wish them all the best," she said.
