Beating competition from the likes of The King's Speech, Inception, Black Swan and The Fighter is the Facebook film The Social Network.
It took home four Golden Globe Awards including best drama, best director award for David Fincher, best screenplay for writer Aaron Sorkin and best musical score, written by Nine Inch Nails frontman Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross.
Adapted from Ben Mezrich's 2009 non-fiction book The Accidental Billionaires, the film adaptation starring Jesse Eisenberg, Andrew Garfield, Justin Timberlake, Brenda Song, Armie Hammer, Max Minghella, Rashida Jones, Joseph Mazzello and Rooney Mara, is about the founding of social networking website Facebook and its resulting lawsuits.
