First Look: Deepa Mehta's Midnight's Children

Here's what your favourite Bollywood celebrities are tweeting.

The poster of Deepa Mehta's much-awaited Midnight's Children, featuring actor Siddharth, is out. 

Siddharth, who plays Shiva, shared the poster and tweeted: 'thanks for the love ...this is by far my favourite poster of any film in my career...Salman Rushdie & Deepa Mehta! Wow! Very fortunate to be a small part of the epic 'Midnights Children'...thank you Salman & Deepa...now waiting for Toronto:) I play 'Shiva' in 'Midnights Children'.'

The film is the onscreen adaptation of Salman Rushdie's 1980 Booker Prize-winning novel, which deals with India's transition from British colonialism to Independence and the Partition of India. 

Midnight's Children will be screened at the Toronto International Film Festival in September.

Stars pay tribute to Kargil war heroes

Bollywood stars celebrated Vijay Diwas to commemorate India's victory over Pakistan in Kargil and remembered the soldiers, who lost their life during the war.

Abhishek Bachchan tweeted: 'Today is Kargil Diwas. I had the honour of getting the opportunity to play the role of the great Capt. Vikram Batra in my film L.O.C. A silent prayer for all that fought and lost lives.... We must never forget their sacrifice.'

Sonam Kapoor wrote: 'Today is Kargil Diwas. Spare a moment and pray for those brave soldiers who fought and died. They died for us.'

Sanjay Suri tweeted. 'Remembering and Salute to the heroes who sacrificed their lives for the nation. Jai Hind.'

Mini Mathur treats Indian Idol contestants

Actress and host Mini Mathur invited this season's Indian Idol contestants to her residence and treated them to some homemade delicacies. 

'A fun evening with all the #Indianidol contestants at my home.. Much singing, dancing n loosening up. Lovely bunch !!' she tweeted with the picture (above).  

There was cake too, Mini shared a picture of it. 

Meanwhile, Minissha Lamba ‏shared a picture of her from the sets of Zila Ghaziabad.  

Ameesha Patel shared a picture of herself and tweeted: 'A pik of me today before leaving for gym inauguration in pune.'
