World Cup fever grips Bollywood

The twitter world is quite a busy one, and Bollywood contributes a great deal to it. Here's looking at the best star tweets of the day.

As the cricket fever gripped India last weekend with the World Cup underway, Bollywood cheered for India. 

'Big day today! India will win for sure! Wishing Mahi n his team to do the magic:)We want the Cup!!!Let's cheer for them:) Sehwag! Way to go!100 runs:) Viraat rocks! Debut century! Congrats:) Superb!' Bipasha Basu cheered.

Akshay Kumar asked husbands not to neglect their wives during the World Cup season. 'Da Greatest Festival of evry Indian has finaly arrived"da Cricket World Cup" :) All da Best 2all da teams,especialy INDIA. Ps:Husbands do not neglect ur wives' he tweeted.

Amitabh Bachchan congratulated India on her win over Bangladesh: 'Gutsy fight back by Bangladesh ! But good start to World Cup for India. well begun, half done!! Congratulations India!. Bangladesh played really well! For a short while I thought we would never make it ... but 370 is a formidable score.'

Rahman's tribute to Malaysia Vasudevan

Noted Tamil playback singer and actor Malaysia Vasudevan, who was suffering from lung complications, passed away on Sunday at the age of 67.

A R Rahman, who had worked with Vasudevan, remembered his first break as a music producer. 'Malaysia Vasudevan Sir, Rest In Peace... You were one of the few who believed in me and gave me my first break as a music producer for the album "Disco Disco" in 1987,' he tweeted.

Ram Gopal Varma released the trailer of his new film Dongala Mutha on twitter. The film was shot in five days at zero cost of production, using the Canon 5D camera.

It will release on March 18.

No White for Preity

Preity Zinta cleared the air about her signing Mahesh Manjrekar's film White.

'Hey guys ! Just for the record I have not signed " White !" Just read the script so don't know where this news has come ?' she tweeted.

R Madhavan seemed very happy with the Tanu Weds Manu team. 'Via Com 18, Vikram Malhotra n gang . The Phadda bros have been entirely responsible for the positive hype surrounding TWM. I have yet to see a more efficient and hands on team. Faab work guys. Kangna is BK and Publicity work starts in all its glory from 2day.'

The film, co-starring Kangna Ranaut, will release this Friday.

Neha Dhupia was busy dubbing for her film, Dear Friend, Hitler. She tweeted: 'jus finished dubbing for 'Dear friend Hitler' ... reliving eva braun twice over was quite a challenge.'

Arshad Warsi was working hard too. 'Got to go for rehearsals n do a Photo shoot for CKMM... Hate working on Sunday,' he said.

Shabana Azmi was shooting in Colombo. 'In Colombo for a shoot. It is similiar in many ways to Chennai but also different-characteristic of the entire subcontinent,' she tweeted.
