After a lot drama and tussle, the dollars and star-dust have finally settled down at the Indian Premier League (IPL).
Preity Zinta, who owns Kings XI Punjab, explained why she didn't opt for Yuvraj Singh and Irfan Pathan: 'So we had no choice but to start with a clean slate. I guess sometimes you have to let go. All KXIP players Yuvi ; Pathan; Mahela etc will be missed. Since V have a brand new KXIP squad I'd like to Welcome Gilly & all new players to KXIP ! Live Punjabi play Punjabi :-) Ting !'
Vijay Mallya's son Siddhartha seemed surprised with the money being spent on cricketers. 'To buy every superstar, the auction cap means that we just can't afford to do that! Pls realise that this auction is not the same as it was 3yrs ago...players values have gone up! While in an ideal world we would have liked.'

But Abhishek Bachchan wasn't happy with Saurav Ganguly's boot from the IPL. He tweeted, 'This is CRAZY! no DADA in the ipl! Ridiculous. Maybe we should bring him over to the Mumbai Indians.'
Meanwhile, the IPL auction reminded actor Ranvir Shorey of onions: 'The IPL Auction reminds me, what are onions going at now?'
