The twitter world is quite a busy one, and Bollywood contributes a great deal to it. Here's looking at the best  star tweets of the day.

Amitabh Bachchan got nostalgic after shooting at Mumbai's Film City recently. He tweeted, 'Shooting on floor no 1 of Film City and suddenly remembered .. I had inaugurated this floor in the early 80's .. we did a Mahurat. So many historic films shot there ... so many historic moments recreated there ... amazing!'

He went on to add, 'It was the only floor in this newly constructed Film City ... now more than 20 of them .. and an entire suburb developed around . The mahurat was of film 'Barsaat ki ek Raat', Rakhee ji, Amjad and Shakti Samant direction ... more than 30 years gone by .. lord !!'

He's been in a reminiscent mood off late, especially over the Christmas weekend. 'Remembering mid night mass in Kolkata, the choir and the solemnity of the day and moment .. those were the days .. early 60's !! And before christmas the night visits to neighbors houses to sing carols ... drinking hot coffee in the winter fog .. simple joys !Its the simple things in life that move and touch you ..they always remain with you ... deep and intense !! merry xmas and HNYear !!' he tweeted.

Farah's staunch supporter

Akshay Kumar and Farah Khan are re-tweeting all the positive comments coming their way despite the bad reviews the film got.

'Thank you all! Saturday collections EVEN bigger than fridays!! Now going shopping with my angels. Merry christmas to you all :-)' Farah tweeted.

She may have found much support in Lara Dutta, who was brave enough to tweet, 'Half way thru Tees Maar Khan...... Popkorn break!'

But Ram Gopal Verma said it best: 'Its amazing tht evrytime a film gets bad talk they dig up rgv ki aag again. Move over rgv ki aag TMK is here. In front of Tees maar khan Rgv ki aag is sholay.'

We like our sassy actors! Sample some of their tweets:

Sonakshi Sinha tweets, 'Frds dad jst askd me 'kya beta aajkal sirf tv pe dikhti hai, ghar kyu nahi aati' I said 'uncle ek time pe do jagah kaise rahu?' Hehehe ;)'

The very outspoken Mallika Sherawat replies easily to a fan's query on when she would marry and said, 'Why u all keep askin? u wanna marry me off so quickly??'

The boys aren't far behind. Abhishek Bachchan leads the way, as he puns on his brand, 'Time to get an idea!!! Back on the sets with my Idea team. New commercials on their way.'

They are human too! Which is why some star tweets sound just like us. Especially when they have to wake up early.

Sonam Kapoor tweets, 'Flying out from chandigarh is the biggest pain in this world. Flights are always delayed and cancelled and to top that "go air" smells of dirty socks And the seats are meant for midgets.'

Priyanka Chopra tweeted over the weekend. She cribbed, 'Its too Early to be catching a flight. On my way back to Mumbai from kolkata. But such is life. Haha. How is the world today?'

Neha Dhupia, on the other hand, left her alarm clock at home. She tweets, 'in colombia... this place is incredible! im glad i left my alarm clock at home.  im soooo far away from all of you, tell me whats goin on! movies, news, weather ... anything!!!! merry christmas to all of you... turkey, beans, mash potatoes, cake, vino and of course santa's gifts... what a beautiful day its been!'
